Welcome to Bilbao!

Design and architecture permeate the entire city, starting with Paseo de Abandoibarra, an undeniably charming area where you will find the Guggenheim Museum, by Frank Gehry, with its impressive architecture, as well as new buildings such as the Isozaki or Iberdrola towers.
Another design classic is the subway, by Norman Foster, as well as the Azkuna Zentroa – Alhóndiga Bilbao, a former modernist-style wine warehouse that has been recovered and turned into a cultural and leisure centre.
Discovering the river and its bridges is a journey through the history of the city. If you follow its course, it will take you to Bizkaia Bridge, a jewel of industrial architecture and a World Heritage Site.
The river will also take you to the Old Town, a very lively area. Take a walk around its bustling "seven streets" and before you know it you will be trying pintxos and wine.
